One commitment from you. Everything else from us.

Meridian Pi handles site qualification, system architecture, engineering, permitting, procurement, financing, deployment, and operations. What we need from you is an offtake commitment and a load requirement.

The Division of Labor

Your job is the load.
Ours is everything that powers it.

Most energy development projects require the offtaker to navigate permitting, coordinate engineers, source equipment, structure tax equity, and manage construction. Meridian Pi inverts that. We own the full development stack so you can focus on what you're actually building.

The Process

Four stages from qualification to power.

Every Meridian Pi project follows a defined development sequence. Each stage has clear deliverables and defined milestones. You receive regular updates throughout.

01
Site Qualification
Weeks 1-4

You share your load requirements, location, and target operating date. We evaluate whether your project meets the criteria for a Meridian Pi deployment and develop a preliminary power pathway.

Load profile and capacity requirement review
Site control and land access assessment
Solar resource and atmospheric humidity evaluation
Permitting environment and zoning review
Fiber routing feasibility
Preliminary energization timeline
Tax credit eligibility assessment
Initial system sizing and configuration
Deliverable: Site Qualification Report + Preliminary Power Pathway
02
System Architecture & Financing
Months 1-2

We develop the full system architecture, capacity phasing plan, project economics, tax credit structure, and financing pathway. You receive a complete picture of what the system looks like and what it costs before any commitment to proceed.

Preliminary single-line architecture
Technology configuration and equipment selection
Capacity phasing and expansion roadmap
§45V, §48E, §48C, §45Q credit structuring
§6418 transfer strategy and transferee outreach
Carbon credit monetization plan
Project pro forma and ownership structure
Implementation schedule and critical path
Deliverable: System Architecture Package + Project Pro Forma
03
Engineering, Permitting & Procurement
Months 2-5

Meridian Pi manages all detailed engineering, site design, environmental compliance, local permitting, equipment procurement, and long-lead scheduling. You receive milestone updates throughout and remain informed on any schedule dependencies.

Detailed engineering and site design
Environmental review and compliance
Local permitting and AHJ coordination
Equipment selection and procurement
Long-lead item scheduling
Interconnection coordination where applicable
Construction contractor mobilization
IRS pre-filing agreement initiation
Deliverable: Permitted Design Package + Procurement Schedule
04
Deployment, Commissioning & Operations
Months 4-6+

Site preparation, equipment installation, electrical integration, controls commissioning, testing, and initial energization. Operations and monitoring transfer to Meridian Pi O&M from day one. Capacity expansion is built into the architecture from the start.

Site preparation and civil work
Equipment installation and integration
Electrical and controls commissioning
System testing and performance verification
Initial energization
Operator training
Remote monitoring activation
Tax credit placed-in-service documentation
Deliverable: Operational System + O&M Handoff + Credit Documentation

Site Qualification

What makes a site a fit.

Not every site qualifies for a Meridian Pi deployment. The factors below determine whether we can hit an accelerated timeline and whether the project economics work. Sites that check most of the green column move quickly.

Accelerates the Project
Secured site control or land access
Defined load profile and capacity requirement
Favorable zoning for generation equipment
Sufficient atmospheric humidity (17%+ RH)
Good solar resource for generation layer
Clear permitting pathway with cooperative AHJ
Signed offtake commitment or letter of intent
Decision authority in place and engaged
Can Affect the Schedule
Air permit or environmental review requirements
Complex local permitting or AHJ coordination
Long-lead equipment availability constraints
Site control not yet secured
Low atmospheric humidity requiring alternate water strategy
Contested zoning or land use restrictions
Undefined load profile or capacity requirement
Multiple stakeholders without clear decision authority
Common Questions

What people ask before they engage.

How does Meridian Pi make money?

Meridian Pi structures each project individually. Revenue can come from power purchase agreements with the offtaker, tax credit monetization via §6418 transfer, carbon credit sales, and ongoing O&M contracts. The specific structure depends on the project, the offtaker, and the financing arrangement agreed at stage two.

Do I need to own the land?

Not necessarily. You need site control -- which can be ownership, a long-term lease, or an easement with appropriate terms. Meridian Pi can assist with site control strategy during the qualification stage.

What is the minimum load requirement?

Meridian Pi systems start at 1 MW modular units. Projects below 1 MW are generally not a fit for the current system architecture. There is no hard upper limit -- multiple units can be deployed in parallel to reach any capacity requirement.

What happens if the project needs more power over time?

Capacity expansion is built into every Meridian Pi system architecture from day one. Additional modular units can be added as load grows without shutting down the existing system. The Intelligence Layer is designed to manage multi-unit dispatch from the start.

Is the system truly independent from the grid?

Yes. Meridian Pi systems are designed for full islanded operation. The system can generate, store, and dispatch power with no utility connection whatsoever. Where a grid connection exists, the system can coordinate with it -- but it is never dependent on it.

What does the six-month timeline assume?

The target of under six months to initial energization applies to qualified sites -- specifically those with secured site control, a defined load profile, favorable permitting conditions, and no long-lead equipment constraints. Projects with complex permitting, environmental review, or unusual site conditions will take longer. Meridian Pi establishes a realistic timeline at the end of stage one based on the specific site.

Who operates the system after energization?

Meridian Pi provides ongoing operations and maintenance under a separate O&M agreement. Remote monitoring, preventive maintenance, performance optimization, dispatch management, and capacity expansion coordination are all included. The system operates autonomously day to day -- the O&M team intervenes when required.
